The High Voltage DC to AC Converter the only American made high DC voltage inverter approved by the City of Chicago. The unit operates from the VDC voltage and produces a sinewave output with less than 3% THD. The High Voltage DC to AC Converter is a field-proven design. Enclosure is stainless steel and rated at NEMA 4X/12. No external cooling devices required. Operating temperatures -20º F to 122º F and operates in extreme environmental conditions at 100% humidity. Operating voltage 350 VDC to 2000 VDC. Withstand 5000 V impulses without damage.
The High Voltage DC to AC Converter provides the following options:
• Internal Static Bypass Switch
• Internal battery backup, up to 24 hours
• Single or three phase outputs 120 VAC to 480 VAC
• Internet communication via wireless or hardwired RJ45

We have the High Voltage DC to AC Converter unit fully installed in Chicago at the Jarvis Station. The unit has been operating since June 2018. Our system allows for controlling of the subway signal in the area by converting very high DC voltage to AC voltage, just like the utility provides its customers.
