Should you require closed captioning in an education session or committee meeting, please note it on the registration form or let the APTA staff in the room know.

Meal Functions and Buffets

Buffets will be wheelchair-accessible, and APTA and venue staff will be available to those who may require additional assistance at all meal functions. During our meal functions, we offer gluten-free and vegetarian options. If you have a specific allergy or dietary restriction inquiry, please note it on the registration form.

Mobile App

The APTA Meetings mobile app is designed with accessibility in mind. All attendees will have full access to the schedule, program details, venue maps, EXPO exhibitor information, show notifications and more. Session handouts and slides will be added as available.

Navgating Between Sessions

You should be prepared for a significant amount of walking or rolling throughout the day between sessions, so please allow yourself plenty of time to get to each session. Heavy crowds and congested areas could also slow down travel.

To rent a wheelchair or electric scooter, contact McCormick Place's service partner, Scootaround, Inc. at 888-441-7575 or visit their website to reserve. Depending on event schedules, onsite rental may be available.

Quiet & Wellness Rooms

APTA offers a quiet room and wellness room at McCormick Place that attendees are welcome to use if they need a break from the excitement. Locations coming soon.

Restrooms

All restrooms have an accessible stall if needed. If you need assistance finding a restroom, please ask any staff member where the closest one is.

Session Staging

All session stages will be equipped with a ramp or lift. Should a ramp or lift not be available in specific meeting rooms, the "stage" will be set on the floor without a riser to ensure wheelchair accessibility.

Service Animal Relief Areas

Anywhere outdoors that is acceptable and public that the handler can access.

Shuttles

ADA-equipped shuttle buses will be operating on APTA event routes. More information coming soon.

Who Can I Ask for Help?

If you need help with anything during the conference, you can ask any APTA staff member for assistance. There will also be wayfinders wearing blue "Ask Me" vests stationed throughout the convention center, as well as registration staff who are there to assist.

Have a need you don't see listed here? Please note it on the registration form or email us at meeting@apta.com and we will be happy to assist as best as possible.
