Solar-powered, real-time information signs
WaySine: real-time information, anywhere.
Imagine every bus stop with real-time arrival information as with every airport and train station. All riders would have more control over their commute. Instead of waiting, they could be running errands or buying a magazine.
In many cities, real-time info is available, but delivering live data to all bus stops is impossible. The cost of digging to lay power lines to each bus stop alone would be exorbitant.
WaySine is an affordable, solar-powered, real-time sign. There is no wiring. Workers simply mount the sign on existing bus stop poles. The sign has strong weather and vandalism resistant features. Photovoltaic panels combined with batteries, means no digging for electrical connections. Using the same pole as existing bus signs means no digging at all.
WaySine balances energy collection and usage, making real-time information available anywhere there is indirect sunlight during a normal sunny day.
