NEXCOM is proud to offer a series of in-vehicle computers to keep drivers and passengers informed, entertained and safe. With on-board diagnostics interfaces, flexible wireless expansion and user-defined action features, it is possible to bring fleet telematics, passenger infotainment and in-vehicle surveillance on board a variety of public transports, including commuter buses, long distance coaches and taxi fleets. Bus and taxi applications may include real-time vehicle tracking, monitoring, passenger information and video surveillance. Passenger infotainment applications include on-board WiFi, on-demand videos and location-based information. The in-vehicle computers also feature wide operating temperature range, built-in GPS with optional dead-reckoning, intelligent vehicle power management and various expansion options.

  • NEXCOM's mobile NVR, NANO 1190, is an entry-level monitoring solution for vehicles and railway systems. It comprises of an embedded video management system (VMS), 4-port PoE switch functions for easy configuration, and the ability to live view, record, and playback stored videos, becoming a competitive alternative for a 24/7 recording solution with optional GPS stamping function.

    The NANO 1190 enables direct installation and scalability. It's a turnkey solution ready to power on and start using immediately. The built-in VMS allows the mobile NVR to provide pre-validated camera compatibility to support ONVIF cameras, prioritizing content recording and storage management. Connection to four PoE ports simplifies installation reducing wiring, achieving a complete coverage of the whole interior of the vehicle. More cameras can be connected by adding a switch to fulfill specific applications requirements. Hence, replacement of IP cameras becomes a plain straightforward procedure thanks to the fixed IP address assignation.

    The simplicity and ready-to-use feature of the NANO 1190 extends to the realms of remote monitoring when using a web-based user interface to look inside the device. Live view of up to 9 IP cameras connections are provided to the driver. Locations can be recorded in the video with optional GPS support. The 1TB removable storage can hold a month-long full-HD video, and if more space is required, the mobile NVR also supports network-attached storage (NAS) through Samba, NFS, and FTP protocols.

    The design of the NANO 1190 allows it to withstand temperatures of -40°F to 158°F, making it suitable for tough and unstable weather conditions. Recorded data is important and well protected thanks to the power ignition delay function that guards the system from harmful voltage spikes. In order to make it applicable in railway systems, the mobile NVR NANO 1190 has E13 and EN50155 certifications. For a dedicated monitoring solution in different scenarios, it delivers two different models, where the four PoE connectors are RJ45 for the NANO 1190-C4S, or four M12 for the NANO 1190-RAC4SM.

Based on 6th generation Intel® Core™ processors, MVS 5603 provides an integral solution incorporating high computing power, 8-port PoE switch functions for effortless configuration, wireless communication, and GPS tracking with optional Dead Reckoning (DR) support to record in-vehicle activities, locations, high quality videos, driving patterns, and diagnostics for a variety of vehicles achieving better measures for safety and management.

    MVS 5603 enables an intelligent transportation service by integrating mobile surveillance system, passenger information system (PIS), and vehicle terminal into one device requiring a single installation. PoE ports simplify installation and replacement of cameras with automatic IP address configuration, providing video security surveillance to cover every angle of the vehicle enhancing passenger safety and fare management. The dispatch center can also keep a record of the number of passengers at specific locations to optimize bus schedule reducing passenger waiting time, to ensure safety and offer an enriched travelling experience.

    Vehicle status such as engine speed and brake condition can be assessed by using built-in CAN bus, with optional OBDII function. Data can be transmitted to monitor safe driving, fuel consumption, and predict when maintenance will be performed. MVS 5603 provides GPS positioning, with an optional DR feature to assist when the GPS signal is unreachable. A 24-hour monitoring of vehicle status is attained by the MCU and G-sensor even during power-off state, plus the optional iButton to identify drivers and keep a detailed record of the personnel.

    The mobile surveillance system’s high graphics power allows video analysis to deliver face recognition together with automobile license plate recognition (ALPR) for the public service sector. Police patrols can store high-definition quality video evidence captured from cameras attached to MVS 5603 to obtain a 360-degree view of the interior and exterior of the vehicle to produce image and audio documentation, especially given an aggression or a chase situation.

    Pursuing sufficiency and stability in power supply to ensure data storage and transmission, an optional internal back-up battery pack is available. Adding to this, the fanless design secures operation regardless the environment. Moreover, the new implementation of a reset and power buttons help drivers overcome any peculiar circumstance that requires a fresh start without involving the ignition system.

Integrated with onboard systems, VTC 1910 can extract vehicle telematics, perform preliminary analysis, and stream and act on results, allowing for anomaly alerts and real-time adjustments to optimize planning and operations for public transport services, commercial fleets and more.

    VTC 1910 can make vehicle telematics shine on the road. More capable than most telematics gateways on the market, VTC 1910 can not only gather but also analyze vehicle data. In public transportation services, bus carriers can use VTC 1910 to conduct an initial assessment on passenger overload with a combination of, for instance, headcount, load capacity, and tire pressure data. Fare evasion can also be addressed closely with real-time comparison of passenger count and collected fare. With new perspectives on vehicle telematics provided by VTC 1910, bus carriers can improve road safety, passenger satisfaction, and operation performance.
